Who I Am

Hello! I'm Tamayo T. Maruyama, a passionate BS Computer Science student at the University of San Carlos. I'm eager to learn and tackle challenges while balancing academic performance and personal growth. And yes, I may occasionally procrastinate.......... EHEH I always get the work doneβeventually! πππππππππππππππππππππππππ
Biography
Iβve always been fascinated by intricate patterns, logic, and technology, which led me to pursue Computer Science. My curiosity and determination have helped me achieve some significant milestones. I'm a Gold Medalist in the 2024 Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad, and Iβve also bagged awards like:
- Silver in the 2024 Philippines International Mathematical Olympiad
- Silver in the Final Round of the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad
- Silver in the Heat Round of the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad
- Silver in the 2023 Heat Round of the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad
...and many more. Itβs safe to say math and I are on pretty good terms, even if it sometimes feels like weβre in a complicated relationship. π On top of my love for math, I also received the Best Paper Award in Journalism of Science and Technology. Who knew I could write about tech as well as I can solve equations? π€π»
I'm excited to use my skills to contribute to the tech world and hopefully build something that will change itβone algorithm at a time.
My Interests
I have a fascination with the intricate patterns in nature, mathematics, and technology. It's incredible how everything connects in the grand scheme of thingsβit's like the universe is one giant, beautiful equation! When Iβm not lost in numbers, I like to indulge in some of life's simple pleasures... like eating. And of course, my favorite hobby is sleeping, even though I get barely any of it. π΄ Aaaaand yes, I often find myself staring longingly at my bed thinking... overthinking LOL.
I also enjoy playing games, watching series, or just gaming my heart out π. However, let's be real, Iβm still learning coding and, well, letβs say I'm not exactly there yetβbut hey, Iβm trying, and thatβs what matters, right? I might fail a lot, but the key is to fail forward, one error at a time! π
